Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

Ever suffered from large clogged pores? Blackheads? Oily skin? Acne.........?  Anyone???? Please tell me I'm not the only one!!! I'm fully aware of my troubled skin so I've search high and low to find a miracle product. In my search I came across an Innisfree store as I caught my eye on Lee Min Ho (sooo cutee!!!!).

Lee Min Ho :)

Anyways he was promoting the Super Volcanic Pore Masks so I thought no further and purchased it. We all know that clay masks has properties of unclogging pores and reducing sebum production but the Super Volcanic Pore mask has proven to be more effective than the average clay mask. This is because it is derived from the beautiful Jeju island of South Korea. The Jeju Volcanic Scoria is a pure and rare ingredient formulated with solidified java caused by volcanic eruptions in Jeju island. It adsorbs impurities and sebum that are deeply embedded within skin pores, clarifying the skin revealing clean, glowing skin underneath. It has a alkalescent characteristic very similiar to our own skin. Which balances the overall pH, inhibiting the growth of bacteria therefore preventing acne to occur!!!

Jeju Volcanic VS Super Volcanic
The Super Volcanic Pore mask is an upgrade from the Jeju Volcanic Pore mask which contains:
  •  Double the amount of Jeju volcanic which helps remove exces sebum
  •  Volcanic capsules which help exfoliates the skin
  •  AHA which gives a gentle chemical peel
  •  Cooling sensation which helps with tightening the pores

 How to use:
  1. Apply to cleansed and toned face
  2. Massage the clay into the skin
  3. Wait for 10-15 minutes
  4. Rinse with warm water
  5. Follow with skincare routine
(Use ~1-2 times a week)

3 ways to use the masks

            Breakouts                                Blackheads                                 Clearing Pores
Cover breakouts overnight               Leave for 10-15 mins                     Leave for 10-15 mins

The texture feels thick and when you massage it onto the skin it gives a cool sensation which is very soothing for the skin. There is small fine particles which are the volcanic capsule that help exfoliate the skin.

It is very easy to apply to the skin, although the mask does not come with a spatula, I did get one free with the purchase I made at Innisfree. When I had the mask on it felt cool and suprisingly moisturising. This was different from the other clay mask I had as they tend to be more on the dry side. Even after 10-15 minutes my mask did not dry and/or crack. But at the same time I felt the dirt being drawn out my skin and my pores felt more purified after I rinsed my face. My skin was very soft and subtle after, with no over drying. I felt other clay mask helped dry out my breakouts but left my skin very dry and tight. The super volcanic doesn't, skin is left hydrated and glowing after use with cleaner and clearer pores. My only con is that the masks is hard to wash off. Although this, it is easier to wash off than regular clay masks.

3CE GT13 Nail Art

I have a CONFESSION to make! This may sound really odd but I HATE painting my nails. I dont know why but I've never enjoyed painting my nails. Maybe because I have shakey hands and a lack of patients!! But my new year resolution this year was to experiment with different nail polishes and start enjoying painting my nails.

Whilst I was in Hong Kong I picked up some 3CE nail polishes. 3CE Nail Lacquer Glitter .2 in GT13 was one of them. I was drawn to this nail polish as soon as I saw it. No wonder, the gold particles reflect so much light and the thinner particles reflect colours of the rainbow. Definitely a nail polish to die for. Without I thought I bought it. The lady at the shop was so nice she showed me images of different ways I could use this nail polish which gave me more of a reason to buy it!

When I got back to the UK I decided to tackle some of these nail art and this the the end result.

I absolutely love it, had soo much compliments from my friends and randoms!!! But they all thought I got it done professionally!!

There is a video available at STYLENANDA which can give you more ideas of how to work these glitter nail laquers.

I will be doing more 3CE reviews on my blog so feel free to come back and check for updates :)

DIY Swarovski Converse

Don't know when but customising converse has always been a big thing. I guess it shows uniquecity and adds a edge to your overall style. Lately swarovski gems have been the IN thing. Decorating the toe cap in gems gives a eye catching but subtle touch to the converse, which can also be very feminine at the same time. Who doesn't want to sparkle and catch eyes whilst walking!!

This blog post I'm going to give you some tips and tricks on how I customised my converses.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional nor skilled in customising converses.

BUT saying this, this was my first attempt, and if I can do it YOU sure can too!! It was actually really simple. These people selling these customised converse are definitely making good money. I would say the first shoe I attempted was not as good as the second pair, as I became more skilled and gained experience.

I'm going to give you guys some tips and tricks on swarosking and turning  your converses into these bad boys ;)

Just a note to add, this took me 2 hours. 1 hour per shoe. So be prepared to give up some time in
creating these. I got complimented so many times today when I was at work though, felt like the hard work paid off!!

What you will need:
-a pair of converse
-swaroski gems
-super glue
-tweezers
-toothpick

I got my converse when I was in HK . They are the white leather Chuck Norris and I got them for $509HKD. The swarovski gem was also bought from HK in the Sham Shui Po area. They are about £3.50 per packet and I bought 4 packets in total. Each packet consist of 144 gems and I ended up with about only 20 gems left. I'm going to keep these as spares incase any of the gems need replaced. Super glue was just bought from the local supermarket and tweezers and toothpick was just found from home.

DIY-ing in a speil:
1. Clean the area before gluing
2. Place glue on the area
3. Use tweezers to pick and place gem
4. Use toothpick to help maneuverer the gem
5. Wait for it to dry

In depth DIY-er tips

Before you start make sure that the toe cap area where we want to glue is clean. How I did it was I worked from the outer top part of the shoe. Make sure to start from the side that is facing outward as this is most important in keeping the gems looking neat and professional. I found it best to work from one side to the other, line by line. Make sure that the first gem of each line is neatly placed and when you reach to the end of the line about 3-4 gem space, space them out closer or wider apart to keep a neat outline edge. Saying this, I don't mean drastically big spaces. For each gem I left a very,
very slight gap. This is optional you can have them placed side by side, gem touching each other, that's no problem at all.

An important tip is to work fast. Once the glue is on the shoe make sure the way the gem is placed is in the desire location. To avoid misplacing, work one gem at a time. Gradually when your confidence of gluing becomes more secure, you can glue 2-4 at a time. I advice not to glue more than 4 at a time as it becomes more difficult to work with, due to the fast drying glue. Also when gluing the start and finish of each line make sure it doesn't go out onto the red outer line of the converse as the glue can be seen when it is dried.

Before starting, have a few practice on a piece of paper to check the texture and viscosity of the glue. The best way to glue is to squeeze a little bit and using the glue tip applicator spread the glue so there is a thin layer. I found this was the best way to work because with a thick application of glue, the glue can spread into the other lines of gem you have placed, creating a mask of glue around the gem causing a matt finish. This can also happen when applying gems. Make sure the tweezers is clean. After about 10 gems clean the tweezers to make sure there is no residue of glue. This can transfer onto the gem whuch causes a lack of shine on the gems. If this happen don't worry. I learnt it the hard way. All that mentioned happened to me!!!! I thought I was doomed. But it can be fixed with a toothpick. I can assure you that these gems are securely glued on. I scrapped the gems with the toothpick and tah-dah the gems were sparkling again and didn't move a inch. So follow the above because scrapping the gems was very time consuming.

Work on a well lit surface and use tweezers to pick up and place the gems and with your other hand use a toothpick to help manuveur the gems to desired location.

Have fun pairing them up with different outfits!! Here I've paired them with frilly socks and cat tights. I'm going to purchase some ribbon or lacey ribbon to change the shoe lace also.

Good luck with customising your converses and have fun. You can be as creative as you want or create the same as mines!!!

Hong Kong/ Korea Beauty Haul

I'M BACKKKK!!!

Long time no speak!! I've just got back from Hong Kong a few days ago! Done soo much, ate soo much, SHOPPED soo much!!! I had a amazing time, didnt want to coome back actually. 3 and a half weeks was definitely not long enough. But you know its time to come home when you've spent all your spending money plus more!!!

Hong Kong is such a beautiful city, definitely a city that never sleeps. Every hour of the day/night is filled with entertainment, there is never a dull moment in this city. Although I've been to Hong Kong many times I feel this time is different. I was ready to explore and discover a new intake of this city. (especially the beauty department ;) ) I even got to meet some HK YouTuber and bloggers!!!

Before I stepped foot onto that plane to HK I spent many hours researching MUST buy Asian products. Definitely not wasting time ;) and even made a shopping list!! When I got there I restrained myself because I knew I was going to Seoul and I've heard it was much cheaper there. My holiday plan was going to HK for 10 days then Seoul 5 days then back HK for 10 days. So the first week I window shopped and kept an idea for prices for products until I got to Korea. But because we were on a tour, we were limited with shopping time (although I did manage to buy a heap) SOO when we got back to HK we meant business, I literally SHOPPED till I DROPPED. Everyday I shopped till my feet would fall off and the only time it was home time was when my hands couldn't hold anymore bags. No jokes I think my arms are more toned now WOOO!! Even a day I went out with no target, planning to buy nothing I came back with a handful!!!! The security guard at my block of flat was always commenting on how much I was buying, was kind of embarrassing lol!!!

But buying all these Asian products in HK is much cheaper than me buying things online from the UK. I also went slightly crazy this time because we were allowed 2 suitcases per person, let me repeat 2 whole suitcases worth up to 46KG!!!! which meant didn't need to watch how much I bought :P So to sum up how crazy I went, I decided to make a video which I had to split into part 1 and 2. Hope you guys enjoy watching me share my buyings ^.^

Doesn't seem that much right.... wait till you see what's inside that brown box...!

Masks Galore :D !!!

For the Chinese reader I also filmed a cantonese version of my haul

p.s. Ill be doing some reviews on the products I have bought later on when I have tested them out :) Make sure to keep checking for updates!!!

p.p.s. due to my vast amount of products I forgot some products SORRRY!! But I really want to show you this :D

Its a PSY face mask!!! It actually works as a 2in1 face mask, a facial sheet mask and the packaging can be worn for fun!!! Now you can all look swag like PSY ;)
